The Big Bang Aims UK-wide programme led by EngineeringUK with 200+ partners to bring science and engineering to life for young people. Celebrates and raises the profile of young people’s achievements in science and engineering. Encourages more young people to take part in science, technology, engineering and maths initiatives. The Big Bang Near Me A programme of events which take place across the UK to enable young people to discover close-to-home the exciting and rewarding science and engineering careers that their science and maths subjects can lead to.

East Midlands Big Bang 2015 Key statistics Over 1500 attendees As part of the Derby City Council support, Derby based companies in the STEM sector showcased their business and partnered with local schools and young people. Key statistics Over 1500 attendees 55 schools Schools from eight Midland counties plus two from Greater Manchester 50-50 gender split Young people almost 90% of total

Big Bang @ School Events 2015 As part of the Big Bang Near Me programme, a range of local Big Bang events took place in schools and institutions across the Midlands to encourage more local and industry specific engagement at a grass roots level.
