Meteor

Meteor Beyond Visual-Range Air-to-Air Missile Typhoon FGR4

Meteor Meteor is in the advanced stages of development and will enter service on RAF Typhoon aircraft from 2015. Meteor is designed around an air breathing ramjet which boosts the weapon away from the launch aircraft and then remains under power until warhead detonation. This gives the missile the energy to pursue and destroy the fastest and most agile aircraft at range.

Meteor Dimensions: Length: 3.67m Diameter: 0.18m Weight: 185kg Performance: Range: 60nm+ Speed: Mach 4+ Sensor: Inertial and Active Radar
