September 22, 2016 Answer questions 3-5 on your “House on Mango Street” STAAR practice passage Content Objectives: Today I will review my EOC scores from last year in order to set goals for our first benchmark I will also discuss ideas with my classmates and develop a unique project signifying that I understood the novel read in class and work by myself to pass a multiple choice question test over the novel I will revise and edit my compare/contrast essay based on recommendations in Google Docs

Project Choice #1: Letter Partners Directions: Pretend you are a character from the book and you are writing a letter to another character in the story. Be sure to describe the character accurately as well as the conflict you are presenting in the letter. Describe as many aspects as you can using sensory details. Sensory details are what you can see, hear, smell, taste, and touch. Your partner will pretend to be the character you are writing to and answer your letter.

Project Choice #2: ABC Summary Groups of 3 or 4 Directions: Create a poster or digital presentation using all 26 letters of the alphabet to develop a summary of the novel. Use important characters (who), what they did, where they went, when the events occurred, as well as why and how the events in the story happened. The summary most also have a visual component (pictures/images)
