College Preparatory Curriculum Requirements/OK Promise 4 credits of English 3 credits of Math 3 credits History/Social Studies 3 credits Science 2 Units of Foreign Language or Computer Technology 1 Additional core credit + Elective credits to total 23 credits 1 Set of Fine Arts Competencies (obtained in HS Junior year history class) Financial Literacy: This class needs to be taken and all 14 competences passed sometime during grades 7-12. 23 credits – See page 2 in CPG

End-of-Instruction (EOI) Tests All students enrolled in Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Biology, US History, English II & III Are REQUIRED to complete an EOI TEST after completion of the class.
End-of-Instruction/ACE Tests REQUIRED FOR GRADUATION State-Mandated EOI tests: English 10 English 11 Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II Biology US History 2015 GRADS MUST PASS ENGLISH 10 AND ALGEBRA I AND 2 OTHER TESTS TO QUALIFY FOR A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA! Students must pass ALL the EOI/ACE tests to be allowed to park on campus. Remediation is available.
You too can be “Distinguished!” Distinguished Service Graduate earn 200 total volunteer hours register 50 hours by end of 10th grade (25 your freshman year!) minimum of 25 hours must be through a JHS club or organization

How do I enroll in a sport? • IF TRY-OUT IS REQUIRED List as an ALTERNATE CHOICE • A coach’s signature (TA) on the enrollment card indicates a student is on the team and the sport CAN be placed as 1st choice on enrollment card

Football, Track (spring), Cross Country, All sixth hour sports are competitive and many require that a student be able to stay after the end of the school day Most require the coach’s approval Many require a tryout…however Football, Track (spring), Cross Country, do not require coach’s approval.

Making Changes to the Courses You Have Requested: When: Request changes in May when counselors and teachers are available to finalize your requests. How: Turn in the “Student Course Request” report with changes, TA’s and parent’s signature to Guidance Office Deadline: June 15th May: In class, students receive “Student Course Requests” reports which list all their requested courses.
