We will also take you through features such as EarlyView and Citation Tracking, and introduce you to our Journal Backfile Collections, which contain articles from issues dating back to Volume 1 Issue 1.

Selecting Content Browse by subject area Run a search This is the Wiley InterScience homepage – www.interscience.wiley.com From here you are presented with several options for navigating to our journal content Browse lists of titles in any of 14 subject areas by clicking on the relevant subject link 2. You can run a basic search by using the search box to the left, or for more precise results click through to the Advanced Search page 3. Alternatively you can browse by product type and select “journals”. This is what we’re going to do now… Browse by product type
Browse by Subject Area Pathology To select an individual journal, click the title Pathology Screen 1:Once you have clicked on this link, you are able to browse our journals which are organised into subject areas, so it is very easy to navigate to the content you need. Screen 2:Here you can see the page for Medicine and Healthcare. If you want, you can further refine the list of journals by a more specific category, for example journals in Pathology, which are a subset of Medicine and Healthcare. Screen 3: And select the title you would like to view. From this page you can still run a basic search from the top right corner, by choosing to search All Content or by Publication Title. Or for more precise results click through to the Advanced Search page.
EarlyView Once you have clicked on the journal you wish to view, the link takes you to the homepage for that journal – in this case, The Journal of Pathology. Please note that this slide demonstrates an example of a journal homepage in “EarlyView”. EarlyView allows you to view the final copy-edited, peer-reviewed articles of a forthcoming issue before it is published in print. Navigation links for the journal include lists of Issues, Editors, Author Guidelines, Subscription and Advertising rates. Search in this Title allows you to target a keyword search to the current journal. Search by Citation lets you input an exact Volume, Issue, and Page Number to find a specific article. The Issues navigation link calls up a list of all issues available online for the journal Early View allows you to view articles before they’re published in print
Table of Contents Save journals to “My Profile” or set up E-mail Alerts Here is a Standard TOC layout for a journal… View the abstracts in an issue (which are freely available to all users), or go to the References or Full Text (PDF or HTML, as available) to read the complete article. The Full Text for journal articles is only available to subscribed institutions. If you are not located at a subscribed institution you may be able to access individual articles via ArticleSelect Tokens or by making a credit card purchase on Pay-Per-View. Registered Users also have the option to save a specific article to My Profile, for easy access in the future. View content at an article level in either HTML or PDF

Article in PDF format PDF View Here you can see the same article in PDF format, which allows you to view, download and print content at the article level exactly as it appears in the print edition.
Searching Wiley InterScience This is the advanced search screen. Advanced Search is a stand-alone page that provides detailed options for running a complex search. There are drop down menus that allow you to limit your search criteria to selected fields such as publication title, Author name or ISSN number. You can also run boolean searches incorporating functions such as “and”, “or” + “not” . Limit your search to a specific product type on Wiley InterScience such as Journals only, OnlineBooks only, or select multiple product types or all content, and choose to search within a subject area. Target almost any range of publication dates—going as far back as 1799 Choose to sort your results based on relevance to your search terms, most recently published, or alphabetically by title. Run your search by filling out the Advanced Search form, using boolean operators where necessary
Results screen Results by publication type Original search criteria listed Clear list of results Click the links at top of each page to show results under these specific product types: Journals/OnlineBooks/Reference Works/Databases. In this case only the Journals link is displayed. Your search criteria are listed at the top of the results page. To go directly to a specific result, use the links for Abstract, References or Full Text (HTML or PDF, as available) You can also click the checkbox next to an item, then hit View Selected Abstracts to page through a series of chosen abstracts in succession.
Citation Tracking Displays a list of other articles that have cited the article that you are currently reading Based on CrossRef Links to articles available from Wiley InterScience and from other publishers
click on “Citation Tracking” Citation Tracking allows you to view published papers that have cited the article you are currently reading by displaying citations from journals on Wiley InterScience as well as other publisher sites. To access the Citation Tracking link, go to the article Abstract Page.
Citation Tracking The feature was developed in partnership with CrossRef and in addition to Wiley InterScience, links to citations from other CrossRef publishers who offer this capability. Citation Tracking is accessible only to Wiley InterScience subscribers. Citations include links to the abstract, references, and full-text articles, where available.
Journal Backfiles from Contain archival journal issues that have been digitized back to Volume 1 Issue 1 Feature many of the top-tier, and earliest journals in their respective field Earliest articles date as far back as 1799 Over 14 million pages Individual backfile articles are available via ArticleSelect Tokens or Pay-Per-View Wiley InterScience Backfile Collections restore a crucial historical connection with articles that pre-date online publishing. Our backfile articles are integrated with current online journal content and offer the same flexible searching, indexing and printing capabilities. Most issues go back to Volume 1 Issue 1 and feature seminal papers published over the past 200 years in the fields of chemistry, physics, medicine and engineering, from well-known Nobel Prize winners.
