The Three Phases Of Water Wonderful water Wonderful water The Three Phases Of Water

Water is essential to life on earth Water is essential to life on earth. It is the only planet in which WATER exists in 3 phases.

WATER makes up 75% of the Earth. 97% of all the water on the Earth is in the ocean, and only 3% is fresh water.

The Three forms of Water. Solids: When water becomes very cold and freezes, it will change from a liquid to a solid. ICE has a definite form and shape. Liquids: When water takes the shape of its container, it is in a liquid form. Gases: Water in gas form is called Water Vapor.

Solids We see it as ice

… And in frost And in frost

Liquids Rain Lake

In nature we usually see water in its liquid form.

Gases You can sometimes see water in the form of gas, when you see…….. Clouds

Steam is water in a gaseous form. We call it WATER VAPOR. Water also becomes a gas when it evaporates… Or when you see a geyser or hot pots.
