The Original Goal of TVE Create an online platform that promotes primary-source scholarship and makes it replicable Combine resources from different institutions

Challenges to Our Original Idea Who would we be competing against? How can we differentiate our project from all of the others?

Through Venetian Eyes 2.0 Shift the focus from the product to the process Share the same information with different perspectives and different styles of presentation Use only free and accessible resources

What We Accomplished Created 5 lecture video presentations and 1 cooking guide 5 fully animated white board videos and at least 3 how-to’s ranging from archival research to white-board animation Formed relationships with our partner organizations Found new ways of engaging young people with primary sources

What We Learned Limits of various types of source material The need to think creatively Challenges of translating academic inquiry so that it will appeal to a student audience The importance of artistry in producing engaging content

New Challenges Finding unique ways of presenting unique sources Finding more recipes Adapting TVE for a younger audience
