Change and continuity in the 20th Century Institution: Government Individuals Attitudes in society Science and Technology For modern medicine we are going to look at: Science and Technology Institutions: the Government Attitudes in society Individuals

Institution: Government Factors How does the factor explain continuity in medicine? How does the factor explain change in medicine? Institution: Government (e.g. what laws did they introduce, how did the respond to the work of individuals, NHS, advertising campaigns) Individuals (e.g. Rosemond Franklin, James Watson, Alexander Fleming, Florey and Chain) Science and Technology (e.g. new treatments available, scientific collaboration) Attitudes in Society (e.g. Understanding of disease, social changes following WW1 and WW2
