Community Project of the Year Award Encourage and assist a community Group to undertake a significant project in their community. Must prove it can bring benefit and greatly improve community. €10,000 available under this category , can be given to 1 – 3 groups.
Community Action Scheme Number of different projects can be funded under this scheme including Community Involvement – positive contribution to the local community, working together, encouraging participation, social inclusion Active Elderly – improve quality of life of Older People and or seek to include isolated elderly in the community Equality and Social Inclusion – contribute to increased quality of life of marginalised people and communities. Children and Youth– to encourage and assist existing youth groups. Groups that work with the most hard to reach Community Facilities/ Amenities/ Sports Development– improve the level, quality and availability of facilities, amenities and/or sports in the community. Range of Funding €300 – €1,500
Residents Associations Purpose – support groups to carry out work in their estates Contribution is made in recognition of the work carried out in the Community Based on number of houses in the estate Amount of Green areas the residents association upkeep RAPID/ Clar area Range of Funding €150 - €650
Tidy Towns Awards based on results from previous year Overall County Winner – highest marks in the County -€6,000 Award Municipal District Winners – highest marks in the Municipal District other than Overall county winner - €4,000 Award Second highest mark in each Municipal District - €2,500 Endeavour Award - Most improved in each of the Municipal Districts from previous year’s marks - excluding any winners in the three previous categories (a-c)€2,000 Award Grant Must be able to prove they intend to enter the 2019 competition Range €500 - €2,000
