Project / Task Measurable Original Plan Committee Structure Chair: Isao Shirakawa Members: 7 members, as shown later. Project / Task Measurable Project 1 Discuss with History Committee Members on the design of events for 50th anniversary of R10. Ask for advice from past R10 Directors on the events of celebration. Consult with honorary fellows on concrete planning of celebration. Project 2 Campaign for the Milestones Program as one of the most publicly-visible programs of IEEE. Make efforts to enhance the understanding of the origins or the early development of electrical, electronics, communication, and computing technologies. Project 3 Encourage each Section to search for those achievements worthy of IEEE Milestones, which were accomplished within its area 25 years ago. Enhance awareness of the depths of any of the approved Milestone through the very first story by its developers at every possible opportunity. Objectives Hold a celebration to commemorate the 50th anniversary of R10 in 2017. Encourage each R10 Section to propose achievements accomplished in the Section area for IEEE Milestones. Projects / Tasks (2-3 projects to achieve committee’s objectives) Prepare the design of events for the 50th anniversary. Enhance the understanding of the IEEE Milestones Program. Encourage each Section to seek seeds for IEEE Milestones by reference to the latest Milestones approved in R10.
