The General Poster Guidelines for the Smagrimet Colloquium in Croatia Institution logo(s) Author 1, Author 2, Author 3, ... Smagrimet 2018 SUMMARY Here we present some general poster guidelines which should be considered when creating poster for the Smagrimet Colloquium in Croatia. Note that each author has the freedom to customize the poster according to the character of his own research and to modify the poster design (background colour or fonts) according to his own preferences. The maximum poster size should be approximately of A0 size (i.e. 119 cm height and 84 cm width). We suggest to put the summary (abstract) of the research into the poster (as shown here) for quick reference. MOTIVATION RESULTS What is the broader context of research? Try to illustrate the problem and the research area Use notes and illustrations Present and discuss the main research results Not all the research is of the same character – there is theoretical and experimental research and the myriad of their combinations The poster design should be customized for optimal presentation of each research Example of an expression Title Text Title Text These are some possible variations of poster design Example of an illustration The poster should be about A0 size (11984 cm) and visible from 2 meters distance. One may customize: Section size, number and content – titles, subtitles, distributions of textboxes, illustrations, formulas etc. Fonts and colours.
