Because You Loved Me – Céline Dion For all those times you stood by me. For all the truth that you made me see. For all the joy you brought to my life. For all the wrong that you made right. For every dream you made come true. For all the love I found in you I'll be forever thankful baby. You're the one who held me up. Never let me fall. You're the one who saw me through, through it all.

5. Pronunciation

At first, I was afraid, I was petrified. Kept thinkin' I could never live without you by my side, But then I spent so many nights Thinkin' how you did me wrong. And I grew strong, and I learned how to get along. And so you're back from outer space. I just walked in to find you here with that sad look upon your face. I should've changed that stupid lock, I should've made you leave your key If I had known, for just one second, you'd be back to bother me.

6. What’s wrong? And so I’m back from outer space. I just walked out to find you here With that happy look upon your face. I should've changed that smart lock, I should've made you leave your car, If I had known, for just one minute, You'd be back to love me.

 Choose medium-paced songs.  One “wrong” word in every sentence or two sentences.  Make sure students know the words and expressions they are about to listen to.  Follow-up: ?

7. Using pictures – What’s the song?

I used to rule the world Seas would rise when I gave the word Now in the morning I sleep alone Sweep the streets I used to own I used to roll the dice Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes Listened as the crowd would sing "Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!"

 Students read the lyrics beforehand.  Scramble pictures so students listen to the song and put them in order as they listen to the word/expression.  Work with word combinations  rule the world, seas rise, sweep streets, roll the dice, crowd sing, long live the king  Follow-up: speaking /writing activities using pictures.
