Differnces Between Sunni And Shiite 90 percent of all Muslims worldwide are Sunni Muslims Sunnis Have over 940 million adherents and Shia only have 120 million Sunnis do not have a designated successor yet Shiites do.

Importance of Islam in Afghan Culture Islam is practiced by the Majority of Afghans and Governs Much of there Lives Muslims are to pray five times a day Friday is the Muslim holy day On Friday most stores and offices are closed

Islam's Main Tenants One of Islam's main beliefs, or tenants, Is that Allah is the one and only god. Also, Muslims believe in the five pillars of Islam which are: Acceptance of Muhammad, Prayer, Alms, Fasting, Pilgrimage to Mecca.
