Digital Information Gateway (DIG) Overview The Digital Information Gateway (DIG) is the primary tool used for searching and sharing PCHIDTA data. DIG provides Google-style searches for databases. It federates a single search to many different databases allowing users to search tens-of-millions of up-to-date records in seconds. DIG can securely control which users have access to data. Multiple DIG servers can be connected together to form a secure information sharing network. Many DIG information sharing networks currently exist within U.S. and international law enforcement agencies. Visual Analytics Inc. DIG Information Sharing Network DIG servers can be securely coupled to provide analysts and investigators access to data from different agencies or organizations in different areas. Currently there are several operational DIG sharing networks An analyst or investigator can use DIG to securely search their own data, and data provided by other agencies using a single query LEJIS data will now be available for DIG users in addition to all current data sources. Integration is seamless. Visual Analytics Inc. Copyright © 2011 – All Rights Reserved 240-215-6600 • www.visualanalytics.com

Getting LEJIS Data A global search against DIG will bring back LEJIS results together with all other search results. Users must be granted privileges to see LEJIS data. Behind the scenes, the DIG Server uses a secure Web Service interface to search the most current LEJIS data. Data is shared in real time. The latest revision of LEJIS is supported (allows ad-hoc query i.e. LWI ).
