Data availability for core cities countries starting data collection 6 months ago

Data availability for core cities countries starting data collection 3 months ago

Data availability for core cities per domain

Classification of variables for UA 3 – city level

Classification of variables for UA 3 – SCD level

Increased geographical coverage 63 new UA cities in EU25 300 UA cities in EU25 14 UA cities in RO 7 UA cities in BG 5 new UA cities in HR 9 new UA cities in CH 6 new UA cities in NO 26 cities in TR (?) - no funding available yet

Large City Audit 222 LCA cities in the EU25 Involves all “non-Urban Audit cities” with more than 100 000 inhabitants in the EU Data should be supplied for 53 variables at the core city level for the reference years 2001 and 2004 No maps required

Changes in the variables The basic idea was to deviate as little as possible from the concepts used in the 2003/2004 data collection Why did we need to change the variable list? improve comparability Increase data availability enhance quality new policy needs

Changes in the variables

F.A.Q. For new variables data for 2001 and 2004 should be sent For new spatial units (new cities; revised LUZs; new Kernels; new SCDs) data for 2001 and 2004 should be sent For DE2005V and DE2006V the concept of EU25 should be used also for 2001! Data collected centrally will be sent out for comments to NUACs

Common errors in data transmission No 1000 separator please! Always include header line in Excel sheet Data starts with second line Keep the order of the columns Footnotes no longer than 256 characters Footnotes in English only No special characters (é, ä, å ..) Code for national data = CC (for example LU) IT2001V: not “yes” or “no”, but 1 or 0
