Individual Response Please provide your response on a separate sheet of paper. In his memoir, Me Talk Pretty One Day, author David Sedaris provides a lighthearted recollection of his experience in a French language immersion class. In a formal paragraph, explain which literary device from the style guide achieves the greatest comic effect and why. Be sure to provide examples.

Partner Response #1 How does Sedaris’s selection of detail in the first paragraph establish a humorous tone?
