Mission Statement/Goals Our educational community PREPARES all students for life, PROMOTES excellence and PROVIDES support. The Luis P. Untalan Middle School community will empower students with the knowledge to be COMPETENT, PRODUCTIVE and RESPONSIBLE citizens in our society. Parental Involvement Parental involvement is strongly encouraged in an effort to support your child’s academic growth Get involved in 8C sponsored community and campus activities Parent conferences will requested by team if all avenues of behavior intervention and modification have been exhausted Parents are encouraged to call for appointments to address concerns PFC Outreach program is available for families in need of assistance 1st quarter Progress Report issued by September 14, 2007 1st quarter parent teacher conference is scheduled for scheduled October 30, 2007 9/19/2018

FAQ s / Discussion Why has my child’s schedule changed? Schedules were changed due to child’s reading and comprehension level. Middle school concept required core teachers must be the same. Schedule also depended on the course L.A. and reading teacher are assigned Does every child have a textbook? Reading, Science, Math only class set is available. Social Studies- each child issued a book, class set also available, book checks every two weeks. Language Arts & Reading books will be issued to students in the following days Will there be an 8th grade promotional? Discussion among 8th grade teams have been ongoing, 8C teachers will be supporting an 8th grade promotional ceremony What is the Zero Tolerance Policy? No weapons or toy weapons allowed on campus. No fighting. No graffiti. No alcohol/ drugs (cigarettes, marijuana, ice, etc.) and drug paraphernalia (lighters, pipes, etc.) All violations will result in suspension. 9/19/2018
