What is an Ambassador? An Ambassador is a person who acts as a representative or promoter of a specified activity. Campaigner, participant, supporter A participant of Senior Games Has been to State finals A volunteer

Why are Ambassadors Important? Lumber River Regional Senior Games 200 or more participants 32 events 8 different locations 3 Counties (Robeson, Hoke and Bladen) 9 Ambassadors

Ambassador – The Campaigner Actively promotes the goals of the cause. They believe in the cause. They are the product and the end result of a successful program. Able to promote senior games by giving presentations at local senior centers, churches, senior events. Media presentations (radio interviews, newspaper articles, etc.) Willing to ADVOCATE for Senior Games. Senior Games is a holistic approach to mind, body and spirit, staying fit, while enjoying the company of friends, family, spectators, and volunteers.

Ambassador – The Participant A participate in senior games events and state finals participant. Can help boost participation numbers quicker than anyone else can. Wide range network of being able to reach other older adults. Encourage other older adults to become participants.

Ambassadors - The Supporter Supports the Senior Games Coordinator Assist from start to finish. Participate in: Meetings – Feedback from prior games / Concerns / Listen Suggestions of games and event ideas Assist with: Fundraising Sponsorships Completion of Senior Games

Praise your Ambassadors Always acknowledge the Ambassadors for their dedication and hard work. Recognize them at the games and thank them for what they do to make your Senior Games successful.
