Principals’ Association of Victorian Catholic Secondary Schools 16 June 2014 Simon Davies Senior Officer Office for Professional Conduct, Ethics & Investigations

“No printed word, nor spoken plea can teach young minds what they should be. Not all the books on all the shelves – but what the teachers are themselves” Rudyard Kipling May Our Children Flourish “The Catholic Church values children as an important part of its life and teaches of the need to respect their dignity. Children’s encounters with adults in the Church can have lasting consequences. It is important for the formation of children that our encounters with them affirm them and create a positive experience of the Church.” - Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne If you take something from this presentation today it should be this. “No printed word, nor spoken plea can teach young minds what they should be.
