What do the stories of Jamestown and Plymouth have in common What do the stories of Jamestown and Plymouth have in common? What is different about them? These first settlers begin a society/ culture that becomes “American”. List five specific character traits and/or adjectives that would describe these first settlers.   Can any of these descriptors be used to describe what it means to be “American” today? Are they positive, negative, or both?
