Enhancement Example The Tools Release is not just being installed to update the graphics in JDE. We are upgrading to bring in Enhancements, and open the door to future Enhancements we could not install in the past. For example, Batch Number will now be in the Standard Grid in Speed Status Change when the Enhancements are installed.
Bug Resolution Example In addition to Enhancements, we are installing over 4,500 Bug Fixes that we could not install before. For example, after this upgrade, you will no longer be able to delete a Contract Billing from the Customer Ledger Inquiry as you could before. This action created Data integrity issues in the past.
Custom Grids and Queries There is a possibility that some Custom Grids and Queries will not be available in JDE after the Tools Release Upgrade is deployed to Production. Missing Grids or Queries will have to be manually rebuilt once the system comes back on line.
Questions / Issues Please share this information regarding these upcoming changes with the JDE Users on your Jobsite, in your Office and in your Business Unit. Ensure no User in your BU is caught off guard by these visual changes. Should you encounter an error you have not seen before when working in the system, contact a Business Analyst or the Helpdesk.
