Estudia, si quieres aprender. 1 st clause = si + present indicative 2 nd clause = present indicative / future / command (And viceversa)

More hypothetical statements If you studied, you would learn. Si estudiaras, aprenderías. 1 st clause = si + past subjunctive 2 nd clause = conditional

The 2 clauses can be moved around: Aprenderías si estudiaras. You would learn if you studied.

Como si… Como si… (as if…) always sets up the past subjunctive. You talk as if you knew the man. Hablas como si conocieras al señor.
