Strategies for Revising and Editing passages: Highlight passage title Look at and read pictures and on captions under pictures. Highlight them. Go to the questions and highlight the number of the line for each question. You may note the question #, if you like Read the ENTIRE passage carefully, indicating anything you see wrong in the process. Use a dictionary! Write the reasons why three answers are wrong and the reason why the answer you chose as correct is right. Take your time! For questions asking, “what is the best transition word…?” you HAVE to read sentences or paragraph before it.
