Investing in Children Programme An Aspirational Roadmap for Transforming Care, Protection and Youth Justice Services – A Living Document Children and Young people Family/ Whānau Caregiving families Victims Staff, Partners, Providers Key changes: Early enhancements to caregiver recruitment and support Evaluation of the effectiveness of Family Group Conferences We understand the direction of change and are excited to be involved We have a shared vision for the future and know what it means for us and our agency We understand the role we can play The children and young people in our care have better access to services It’s easier to raise worries or complaints We get more support to care for young people until they turn 18 New operating model in place New independent advocacy service and Youth Advisory Panel New complaints process Engaging all New Zealanders initiatives commence Desired culture, vision, values, and leadership defined across sector Care and protection age extended
