CEAF201510120002 DIG (Diagnostic Improvement Group) Phase 1 Rollout for QSF3.8T4F (SCR Only) Engines Purpose: Announcement of QSF3.8 T4F engine launching production with DIG Phase 1. CEAF201602020001 DIG (Diagnostic Improvement Group) Software Correlation Spreadsheet Purpose: Contains cross reference from old DO to new DIG DO option. CEAF201605060003 DIG (Diagnostic Improvement Group) Phase 2 Rollout Industrial Tier 4 Final Engines Purpose: Announcement of Dig Cal updates to phase 2. CEAF201605020001 Pre-DIG Calibration Obsolescence Purpose: Announcement that only DIG Phase 2 cals will be allowed after Jan 1, 2017 Cummins Confidential

Diagnostic Improvement Group (DIG) Team Deliverables Objective: Re-design diagnostics to provide meaningful operator communication of needed repair action Maximize customer uptime Drive appropriate customer response Ensures correct repair action Meet legislative requirements Cummins Internal Use Only

Background DIG was released in phases Pre-Dig Cal Obsolescence DIG 1 – Majority of changes that took reduced validation work and could be released sooner. DIG 2 – Only 11 changes that were fixes and items that took longer to validate. Phase 1 and 2 were released as separate DO options from current cals so that OEM’s could test the changes and adopt them into their production. Note that DIG Phase 1 DO’s will be updated to Phase 2. No new DO’s for phase 2. Pre-Dig Cal Obsolescence Due to the creation of parallel DO options, the old DO options will not receive the periodical updates and fixes that normally occur and therefore need to be obsoleted. On Jan. 1 2017 obsolescence will happen and it will be required to change specs to the new DO options. Cummins Confidential

Timeline Production must be with DIG Cal. Sept. 1, 2015 DIG Phase 1 Cals Available, All except QSF3.8 Sept. 24, 2015 DIG Phase 1, QSF3.8 in LP Jan. 31, 2015 DO Cross Reference Available Aug. 1, 2016 DIG Phase 1 cals updated to Phase 2 (Same DO), All Jan. 1, 2017 Pre-DIG Cals Obsoleted Production must be with DIG Cal. During this time OEM’s are testing the new DIG Cals and changing production. Cummins Confidential

Advisor 6 Update

General Updates Pilot work in process to give access to OEMs. Change Control will be turned on by end of the week Any questions that are revised will show up in change history. 6.03 Release slated for Aug. Training needs? Linking old CARS record to Advisor 6 is not possible. We have a few options if someone wants to use Advisor 6 for an IQA record created before 2/29/2016. Insert Data Classification

Old CARS record and Advisor 6 If no engines have been ordered: The AE can work with their team to ensure COLS is not impacted and delete the IQA and generate a new one in Advisor 6 If the 1 engine has been ordered and no further work has been done and the AE wants to use Adv6 for testing and documenting: Create an Adv6 IQA and generate the IQA number from Adv6. Make a note in the new CARS record documenting the 1 engine and if no further impact can delete or submit the old IQA for closure. If testing has started: We suggest to continue using the old process. Insert Data Classification

Engine Nomenclature Changes

Engine Marketing Nomenclature New Formula Next Generation Products New formula is unique and scalable; different from competitors Continued use of series letters builds upon heritage and establishes consistency with natural product categories based on horsepower and/or displacement Elevating platform series letter rather than market application by discontinuing use of “IS” and “QS” as differentiator for on- and off- highway electronic engines Continued use of fuel type identifier when other than diesel (“N” for natural gas) New generation products are bold and deserve a fresh, bold name Product development no longer led by emissions, but rather customer and application inspired Timing fits hand in hand with continued need to re-energize Cummins customers, employees, and stakeholders Engine marketing nomenclature redefined to highlight next generation global products & strengthen Cummins brand Implementation Published standards protect available letters for future use, with centralized oversight for letter selection and minimize risk of introduction of rogue product names Not a “lightswitch” event, global rollout beginning in Q1 2016 for EPA 2017 and Stage V products at BAUMA Communication & implementation plan to ensure seamless transition for internal functions, external vendors and customers

QSF3.8 T4F Service Interval Changes

Summary QSF3.8 T4F engines are changing to 1,000 hour service intervals in some cases Fuel filters: change from 500 to 1,000 hours Lube oil & filters: 1,000hr ODI requires: synthetic oil, steel filter, regular diesel fuel, not constant-speed or severe-duty (> 6 L/hr or 1.6 gal/hr) application Changes to maintenance schedule applied across all QSF3.8 T4F architectures (SCR, DOC+SCR, DOC-Only) consistently Service publications (QSOL) updates are in-process Cummins Confidential

Summary: Fuel Filters Fuel Filters (both) change intervals increased from 500 to 1,000 hours Keeping existing current-product filter PNs Cummins Confidential

Summary: Lube Oil Change from 500 to 1,000 hour ODI with full-synthetic oil (e.g. 5W40) 1st oil change will have a decreased interval (500 hrs) Due to need to remove engine break-in contaminants Biodiesel (≥ B5) will have a decreased ODI (500 hrs) Constant-speed applications will have a decreased ODI (500 hrs) E.g. air compressors, water pumps, power units Severe duty-cycle applications will have a decreased ODI (500 hrs) Severe duty-cycle, > 6L/hr (1.6 gal/hr) fuel consumption Cummins Confidential
