Summary Army has targetry challenges NGATS provides effective soldier training systems that are: Standardized, Supportable, Interoperable Reliable, Available, Maintainable Realistic and Affordable NGATS significantly improves range operations: Reduced downtime Efficient scoring and training feedback Greater flexibility in range use and targetry asset management Reduced maintenance and operating cost End user support influence is being incorporated into NGATS specifications and documents through MACOM Master Gunners, and ATSC. Flexibility is gained through common interfaces allowing targets to be interchangeable between ranges and the open architecture allows new targets to be incorporated as they become available through the P3I block upgrades and improvements.
