When to use Formal Project Management SCS has developed a consensus that a project will follow the SCS Project Management Methodology if the project is greater than 80 hours of effort, or if it is a highly complex project that will benefit from formal project management. Project Classifications will help determine the level of project management to use – e.g. fast track vs. very formal.
