BIOLOGY Unit 9 Notes: The nervous & Lymphatic Systems

(1) The Nervous System Structures: Functions: Neurons (nerve cell) Nerves Brain and Spinal Cord Functions: Control all other organ systems. Respond to stimuli inside and outside the body. Maintain homeostasis.

(2) The Lymphatic System *AKA  The Immune System  Structures: White Blood Cells Lymph Vessels, Nodes and Fluid Functions: Protect the body against infectious agents. Filter out useless cell parts from the blood and send to excretory system.
