How do I enroll my child? Children must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2017 All Students-Enroll your student and verify residency at the District office/203 W. Hillside Road. Enrollment Packets at our materials table and on district website Enrollment Office Hours Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm Thursday, March 15th 5:00pm-7:30pm Saturday, March 17th 8:00am-Noon Tuesday, March 20th 5:00pm-7:30pm

May I choose half day? kindergarten? Families may choose half day. Program specifics: Attend at your home school as part of the full day class Begin school at 8:15; dismiss at approximately 10:45 Participate in instruction scheduled during those hours

What about bus transportation? The District provides bussing for families who live 1.5 miles or more from their home school.

What is Spanish Dual Language? Two-way Bilingual Education Literacy and content learning in two languages Classroom Makeup Approximately 50% English-first students Approximately 50% Spanish-first students

How can I enroll my child in the Dual Language program? Siblings of current Dual Language students are given priority enrollment prior to kindergarten lottery All must apply to be selected Form to apply for dual-language is in enrollment packet. Lottery application deadline is Wednesday, March 21, 2018

Welcome to the Health Office Team! Certified School Nurse: Patty Pratapas RN Holds professional educator license endorsed in school nursing in Illinois. Promotes the physical, mental, emotional and social well being of students by providing comprehensive school health services. Health Technician: Barb Foss Works under the direction of the School Nurse; provides first aid treatment, including emergency care; CPR and First Aid certified.

Health Requirements- Physical Exam All physical exam and immunization requirements should be fulfilled prior to the first day of school. Exam must be performed within 1year prior to the first day of school- Any time on or after August 17, 2017. May be completed by licensed physician, nurse practitioner, or physician’s assistant. Health history portion must be completed and signed by parent for physical to be valid.

Health Requirements- Immunizations Immunizations must be up-to-date and verified by a health care practitioner.

Health Requirements- Vision Exam The vision requirement should be fulfilled prior to the first day of school. Exam must be performed within 1 year prior to the first day of school- Any time on or after August 17, 2017. To be completed by an licensed optometrist or ophthalmologist.

Health Requirements- Dental Exam Required by May 15, 2019, but may be performed within an 18 month period prior to the due date. Exams may be performed anytime between November 15, 2017- May15, 2019.

Procedures for Ill Students Attendance Fever: A temperature of 100 degrees Fahrenheit is considered a fever. Undiagnosed Rashes Head Injuries Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye) Medication Emergency Medical Card

Kindergarten Attendance Leads to Success! Children who are chronically absent in Kindergarten and 1st Grade are much less likely to read at grade level by the end of 3rd grade. Having great attendance in Kindergarten will prepare your child to do well academically throughout their school years.

Students must be HEALTHY to be EDUCATED and EDUCATED to be Healthy! Working together is ideal! Please feel free to contact your school nurse with any concerns or questions regarding individual student health concerns.
