3 different way the word is used “Malicious & unjustifiable feelings towards others… this is condemned in 1 John 2:9-11; 3:15 “a right feeling of aversion from what is evil… Romans 7:15; Revelation 2:6 “relative preference for one thing over another, by way of expressing either aversion from, or disregard for , the claims of one person or thing relatively to those of another. Luke 14:26

We should hate all error & evil Psalm 119:104 It DOES make a difference what we believe Failure to love Truth will cause many to be lost- 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 Those who are not staunchly opposed to error, are not really for the truth! Psalm 97:10; 1 John 3:4; 5:17; Genesis 39:9; Psalm 97:10

Implications of this hate far reaching What do you prefer? What do you put first in your life? When anyone puts God second, he hates God!
Not hate the person in error or sin- must hate the sin & error Not give any encouragement to it whatsoever – 2 John 1:10,11 Must learn to Love God and Love Truth and Hate Error and Evil
