What is an ePortfolio? Demonstrations Accomplishments Resources An ePortfolio is a collection of digital artifacts that can represents a person, group, or institution which may include. They facilitate personal reflection, which involves an exchange of ideas and feedback.

Three Kinds of E-Portfolios Student ePortfolio Teacher ePortfolio There are three kinds of ePortfolios. Student, teaching, and Institutional ePortfolios. With each one there are six major functions: Six Major Function of ePortfolios are: Plan educational programs, (document knowledge, skills, abilities, and learning), track development through a class, finding a job (marketing oneself), evaluate a class, and monitor and evaluate ones performance. (According to Lorenzo and Ittelson) Institutional ePortfolio

E-Portfolio Artifacts Resume Writing Samples Profile Photography Video Recordings Awards & Recognitions Education There are many things that can go into an ePortfolio such as a person’s profile, awards/recognitions, photography, resume, video recordings writing samples, and a person’s education.

Essential Software and Equipment Needed There are many skills and equipment needed in order to build an ePortfolio. It is essential to have access to a reliable computer, digital camera, microphone, video recorder, and a scanner. The software that is needed is WetPaint program, firefox, PDF creator, Microsoft Office, and Audacity (audio recording and editing).

WetPaint Three Easy Steps http://www.wetpaint.com/wiki There are three steps to building your Wetpaint site to start building your ePortfolio. Step One: create a site name, URL, state purpose of your site, and the category of your site. Step Two: select who can edit your site. Then select the style of your site. Step Three: create a user account.
