Google said WebRTC would be easy… They’ve given us a lot (Chrome and VP8 are great) - But years have passed… Just communicate with anyone anywhere - even without numbers!? Finally get beyond 100 years of POTS A 50-years leap killing telephony It just wasn’t that quick or easy… Will Service Providers play different roles, or will the be new ones, the old or none at all? More Than the Web Required… Not that easy to do, and… Many services require telephony connections – gateways Others require enterprise PBX or UC connection And website click-to-call requires Microsoft’s and Apple’s WebRTC browsers 9/20/2018

Wireline Carriers Can Be Mobile Operators We hardly use desktop phones with the enterprise PBX / UC solution nowadays WebRTC has superior remote connectivity: Talk everywhere you can surf - You use it! WebRTC smartphone clients - OTT over LTE and WiFi - are all you need and WebRTC is far superior to the mobile voice we know. With smartphone, WebRTC clients connected to the enterprise SIP- trunked PBX and UC (Unified Communications) environment, the SIP trunk provider becomes a OTT virtual mobile operator!
