Technical Assistance Financing Decision 2011 COCOF meeting 20th October 2010

Background Legal basis of the TA financing decision: Article 45 of Council Regulation (EC) No. 1083/2006 of 11 July 2006 laying down general provisions on the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund and the Cohesion Fund and repealing Regulation (EC) No. 1260/1999. Maximum amount for TA for DG REGIO is 0.25% of the annual allocation of the ERDF and the CF. New, simple and streamlined Annexes are attached to the 2011 TA Financing Decision in accordance with the Commission Communication on "Streamlining financial rules and accelerating budget implementation to help economic Recovery"

Introduction of the 2011 Technical Assistance Financing Decision The Draft decision contains 80 TA actions to be implemented in 2011 for a total amount of EUR 83.64 million. Types of actions envisaged: Grants: EUR 40.09 million (47.93%) 6 agreements with EIB, EIF, national audit authority joint management: EUR 1.1 million (1.31%) 3 contribution agreements with OECD Procurement: EUR 30.85 million (37%) More than 150 contracts (direct contracts, specific contracts / order forms under framework contracts) should be signed. Other type of procedures: EUR 11.6 million (13.87%) This amount will be used for signing administrative agreements with JRC, sub-delegation, reimbursement of expenses of national experts and of staff (mission costs) as well as salary for external staff.
