Greater spear noesed bat By:ky bogart

Habitat: The Greater Spear- nosed Bat lives in Peru, Bolivia, Honduras, South America. The greater spear nosed bat lives by water like streams and forest areas.

Enemies; His enemies are skunks, moles, kesteral falcons.

Babies: He has one baby a year because the mother bat is pregnant from February- April. That is 120 days and babies are born at middle of july.

Physical Description: They are one of the largest bats in South America, which weigh an average of 81 kg. His length is 100-130 mm. His length in wingspan is 455mm. It lives 18 years in captivity. The greater spear-nosed bat is brown or brownish grey and its fur looks fuzzy and fluffy.

Food; He eats small vertebrates he uses low frequency sounds to detect the prey.

Interesting facts: The spear on his nose is made of skin. He is also as huge as a crow. He is also the largest bat in America. He can fly and he can use echo location. He helps people by gobbling down rats.
