He was dishonorably discharged next year, for intentional neglect of his duties 1830 Poe lived in Baltimore with his father's sister Mrs. Maria Clemm and taught his sister. When he won a contest with his story “Ms. Found in a Bottle”, he got a job as an editor with the Southern Literary Messenger in Richmond. 1832-1833
