Why use a template? The hard work has already been done for you You know they look good! There are several styles available You can just cut & paste!! You can personalize with colors, fonts and pictures

Background Colors Make sure you have a good contrast between your background color and your font color Colored backgrounds will attract attention Simple backgrounds allow the content to be the focus Use white for busier posters

Fonts Funky fonts do NOT work well Stick to the classics Serif fonts: have feet that keep the eye moving – Times New Roman Examples of bad fonts to use; bare code Blackadder Curlz Jokerman

Colors & Font sizes Your poster will be viewed from 3-4 feet away Title between 96-144 Headers 50-80 Text no lower than 35 Color ratio at least 400 RGB Sum total of all color RGB’s

RGB – red, green, blue RGB color numbers Right click Format background/Font Choose Color Custom Colors Add & subtract – black=0, white=765
