Slanters: YOUR Turn! Each student has a “Slanters Cover Sheet” labeled 1-10. The numbers on this cover sheet correspond with the slanter number in your journal (i.e.: #1 on your cover sheet = #1 slanter in your journal: labeling). Find ONE example of EACH slanter in a magazine advertisement. Completely tear out the advertisement from the magazine – the whole page! On the cover sheet, write a brief explanation of how that advertisement demonstrates that particular slanter. (i.e.: #2 the porcupine is an analogy for a vehicle with precision driving which the driver is able to part without damaging fragile objects (the goldfish bags) surrounding it.) Organize your advertisements in the same order as they are listed on the cover sheet and your journal. Staple all advertisements (in order) behind the cover sheet. Due tomorrow at the beginning of class!
