GUTTER -SETS A PAGE OFFSET GUTTER POSITION -SETS THE LOCATION OF GUTTERTO EITHER LEFT SIDE OR TOP OF PAGE CLICK ON FILE, PAGE SETUP,PAPER TAB IN MENU BAR BY DEFAULT. PAPER SIZE IS LETTER IN PORTRAIT ORIENTATION. TO CHANGE THE DEFAULT SETTINGS,MAKE REQUIRES CHANGES AND CLICK OK. CLICK ON FILE, PAGE SETUP,LAYOUT TAB IN MENU BAR BY DEFAULT, HEADER AND FOOTER ARE PLACED AT 0.5” FROM THE EDGE. CHANGES MAY BE MADE TO APPLY ON THE WHOLE DOCUMENT OR FROM A PARTICULAR PAGE ONWARDS. AFTER MAKING THE REQUIRED CHANGES, CLICK OK.

TEMPLATE A TEMPLATE IS A PREFORMATTED DOCUMENT TO WHICH YOU ADD TEXT OF YOUR OWN TO CREATE A TEMPLATE, SELECT FILE, NEW FROM THE MENU BAR SELECT AN EXISTING TEMPLATE, EDIT AND SAVE IT

CUT Removing a particular segment of text from a particular position and place it elsewhere involves CUT and PASTE operations SELECT TEXT MENU BAR EDIT CUT

COPY Duplicating a part of the text in some other part of the document involves using COPY and PASTE operations SELECT TEXT MENU BAR EDIT COPY

DRAG STRAIGHT DOWN FROM THE SELECTION POINTAND THEN ACROSS THE LAST LINE, IF SELECTION GOES OVER STRAIGHT LINES. TO SELECT VERTICALLY, HOLD DOWN ALT AND DRAG DOWN. SELECTING WITH A MOUSE DOUBLE CLICK A WORD TO SELECT IT. TRIPLE CLICK TO SELECT A PARAGRAPH. TO SELECT SEVERAL PARAGRAPHS, PLACE THE CURSOR AT THE BEGINNING OF THE TEXT, HOLD DOWN SHIFT KEY AND CLICK AT POINT WHERE YOU WANT TO END THE SELECTION.

USING THE SELECTION BAR CLICK ONCE TO SELECT THE CURRENT LINE. CLICK TWICE TO DELECT THE CURRENT PARAGRAPH. CLICK THRICE TO SELECT THE WHOLE DOCUMENT. USING THE KEYBOARD TO SELECT A SINGLE CHARACTER, USE SHIFT AND RIGHT OR LEFT ARROW KEY. TO SELECT A LINE, PRESS SHIFT AND DOWN OR UP ARROW KEY. TO SELECT ENTIRE DOCUMENT, PRESS CTRL A.

INSERTING PICTURES To add Pictures or Photos to your document from files, from scanner or camera, inserting clip art, word art, charts, auto shapes etc MENU BAR INSERT PICTURE
