ModernBiz Technical Series Changes New and refreshed content coming soon Events will be delivered via the new platform beginning October 5th

New Content As new content is released it will be made available on the platform The old versions of the content will continue to exist, but will eventually be retired

New Delivery Platform The existing SharePoint platform will be replaced with a new LMS platform starting October 5th All instructors have received access to the LMS platform. If you have not logged on yet, make sure you do so If you have any problems accessing the platform or have not received your credentials, please contact support@learnondemandsystems.com

How to Logon to the Instructor Portal How do I prepare for a class? Go to the “Microsoft Instructor Portal” https://aka.ms/msinst Logon with the “Learn on Demand Systems Account” and use the credentials in the automated email that you should have received If you did not receive the access invite email please contact support@learnondemandsystems.com Course content and materials are referred to as “Courses” Instructor Portal is only for prep, not used for deliveries

Instructor Portal Overview Get Started – Guide and FAQ on how to use the platform News – Program related news and updates Courses – List of all available courses used for prep Support – how to contact support should you need assistance Admin – not used and can be ignored Access any course by clicking on the name The list of courses will grow as new and customized courses are added Make sure you prep for the right one!

How To Access Course Materials Content Available: Labs – Shown as Activities Course resources – Contains instructor guide, lab manuals, PowerPoints, videos etc. Some of these resources are Instructor-only, they will not appear for Students

Launching Lab Microsoft Instructor Portal for accessing Microsoft courses to which you have been granted access https://aka.ms/msinst To find courses, go to the ModernBiz TS tab at the top of the page, and then click Courses Do NOT deliver from this portal!

Lab Interface Display – change resolution of VM Commands – windows keys, copy/paste, power options etc. Content – lab manual Machines – switch between one more VMs Support – Machine Remote Controller, connection quality etc. Exit – end lab

Controllers 4 Selection choices total HTML5 is the default controller Not all choices will be visible for all browsers HTML5 is the default controller Works with almost any browser/OS Enhanced is IE only Not available in Edge Silverlight and Flash controllers only to be used in special cases

How To Deliver A Class How do I deliver a class? Go to the “ModernBiz Tech Series Portal” https://aka.ms/mbts Logon using the same “Learn on Demand Systems Account” as you did for the instructor portal Courses that are booked for specific dates are referred to as a “Class” NOTE: You must always log out of the Microsoft Instructor Portal before navigating to the ModernBiz Tech Series class delivery portal

Accessing Class Information Roster – see students logged on Pre-Class Checklist - not used for ModernBiz Technical Series classes Sign-In Sheet – not used Manage Files - not used Monitor Labs – Instructor can see students running labs Pre-Class Preparation – check to ensure labs can run on your computer Training Key entry for each class in the Basic Information Section of the screen Labs and Content can be access from under Activities

Student Logon How do I help students log on? On the day of your event have your students go to https://aka.ms/mbts Students should default to logon using Microsoft Accounts (Live ID) If they do not have a Microsoft Account, they can create a Learn on Demand Systems Account Once Logged on, have students click “Redeem training key” After that students can access the course materials

Classes That Require Azure Accounts Currently Azure accounts are emailed out and distributed by the instructors during the event Soon we will be switching over to a automatic Azure code distribution system where the platform hands out Azure codes when student launches lab

Post-Event Access Students can continue to access the course for 90 days after the event is over by logging onto https://aka.ms/mbts and clicking on Post Event Access
