This is all the bellwork you should have. Be sure you have all of them

“Destroying rainforest for economic gain is like burning a Renaissance painting to cook a meal.” Bellwork: What do you think this means? Renaissance: The cultural rebirth that occurred in Europe from roughly the fourteenth through the middle of the seventeenth centuries, based on the rediscovery of the literature of Greece and Rome.

Bellwork Day 2 Write the date in the second box and using your phone answer the following questions. Whenever done keep your phone. We will use it for the class and only for class purposes. Which is better for the environment... disposable or reusable diapers? What are some plastic products that you use? Can any of these be replaced with something more environmentally friendly? Who, on average, has a larger wardrobe... Men or Women?

Why is population growth one of the biggest environmental concerns? Bellwork 3 Why is population growth one of the biggest environmental concerns?

Bellwork #4 What are biogeochemical cycles? Name the 5 main cycles. How does carbon exist in the atmosphere? Describe two ways carbon can enter the atmosphere.

Bellwork #5 Identify and describe the biotic and abiotic components of the biome of the region in which you live.

Bellwork #5 BREAKING: President Trump is set to impose a 30% tariff on the importation of solar cells. In other words, he is taxing Americans for "going green!" This is despicable. How about teaching those coal miners how to work in green energy fields. What are your thoughts on this? Do you agree or disagree with the President? Why?

Bellwork 6 Two boys, aged 12 and 13, were arrested and charged last week for allegedly kill half a million honeybees. “They knocked over every single hive, killing all the bees. They wiped us out completely," Justin Engelhardt told the Sioux City Journal. "They broke into our shed, they took all our equipment out and threw it out in the snow, smashed what they could. Doesn't look like anything was stolen, everything was just vandalized or destroyed.“ Right now scientists are warning bee populations worldwide are facing what looks to be an extinction crisis, and studies are pointing towards overuse of toxic pesticides called neonicotinoids as one of the potential causes. With more and more bee species becoming threatened by the problem, a global food industry worth hundreds of billions of dollars is in jeopardy, and it's incumbent on us to find a solution that keeps our pollinators alive and our food crops growing. What are your thoughts on this? Do you agree with the charges made to these kids? Do you think these kids did nothing wrong? Or do you think they should be punish accordingly? Explain

1)Why do we study human populations? Bellwork 7 1)Why do we study human populations? 2) How might the human population growth rate change in the future? 3) What factors influence the impact a population has on its environment?

Bellwork 8 Using your phone find: How many people are on this planet? How big is the number 1 billion? What are the three largest countries in population size? How many people are in the US? Done? Put your phone back in your backpack
