As can be seen, FSL3 family have much smaller Ton_min which gives regulation advantage for low output voltage cases. Fairchild IC have much lower Rds(on) and therefore lower conduction loss in the mosfet. Adjustable current limit of the FSL3 provides design flexibility. Also FSL3 has more comprehensive protections against various fault conditions and improves the whole system reliability. FSL3 green mode buck switch is at leading position in industry
