Humorous & Dramatic Interpretation Two separate events! Not one bipolar event.

The Event The memorized performance of literature Humorous – the intent is to entertain/amuse the audience Dramatic – a serious intent (interjecting humor can be acceptable)

The Rules Memorized Time limit is 10 minutes, introduction included Material must be published, printed One or more characters solidly established

The Preparation Read and select your piece Analyze the selection Cut the piece Time the piece Prepare the introduction Memorize the piece Practice
