What is Awesome about 6th Grade? Greater Freedom and Greater Individual Responsibility More Activities and Leadership Opportunities Student Council & NJHS More Academic Options Prayer Buddies Altar Serving Electives

Class Schedule Eight (8) total Classes, Six (6) Core subjects each day Math, English, Literature, Social Studies, Religion, Science Language Arts and Math Honors Electives – Spanish, Technology, PE, Music & Art Enrichment 7th and 8th Grade 45 minute class periods Language Arts/English-Double Blocked Visit lockers three (3) times per day Lunch and Recess

Academic Expectations 6th Grade is the first step toward High School Grades are part but not the whole/bigger picture Now is the time to grow and make mistakes Attendance is key – Be here by 7:45! Accountability and Individual Growth – Time Management Homework – Accountability and Ren Web Tests – Preparation and Study Habits Projects – Plan Ahead and watch deadlines Self Advocacy – Reach out to Teachers and ask for help
