Program Culture and Identity “DO WHAT WE DO”

Academics in Order The Whitney Basketball Program will always stress the importance of ACADEMICS BEFORE ATHLETICS AT ALL LEVELS! Players in our program will know that if they do not succeed in the classroom they will not play on the court. Strategies in Place Study Hall for all Freshman athletes is required. Study Hall for ANY athlete that has 2 or more NM’s at any time. Weekly grade checks through the students planner. Tardiness and absences will be monitored daily! and will not be tolerated. Support from teachers and tutors will always be available for our players.

Academics Program Wide The Whitney Basketball Program will not only expect academic greatness from our High School players but from every player involved in our feeder programs. Over the last 2 years our Basketball Program has forged relationships with every Principal in the Whitney High School Feeder system. We have also built relationships with teachers, office staff and custodial workers to make sure our athletes are not only being good students but good ambassadors for our program. WE WANT MORE THAN GOOD PLAYERS, WE WANT GOOD KIDS!
