THE CLOUD IS THICKENING! © 2016, STC INDIA CHAPTER 5

SYSTEM INTEGRATION - A BIG CHALLENGE With a wide range of Cloud software and hardware available, users get to pick and choose what is best for them. Example: An enterprise can deploy an on-premise private cloud to host sensitive or critical workloads, but use a third-party public cloud provider, such as Google Compute Engine, to host less-critical resources, such as test and development workloads. A Cloud containing PaaS and SaaS from different vendors (which is the most common scenario) presents significant challenges in integration. As more features are added, the integration gets more complex. Image Source: https://www.mulesoft.com © 2016, STC INDIA CHAPTER 6 6

INVEST IN DEVELOPER DOCUMENTATION SOLUTION: INVEST IN DEVELOPER DOCUMENTATION © 2016, STC INDIA CHAPTER 8

CHANGE IN DOCUMENTATION FOCUS… Intuitive User Interface Every major software/hardware provider now has a wide range of solutions on the Cloud. Cloud has everything…Word processing applications (Office 365) to personal data storage (Dropbox) to complex enterprise applications. However, the rapid shift from on-premise applications to a hybrid mix of SaaS and on-premise applications has introduced big challenges for organizations attempting to simplify enterprise application integration.
