All three are definitions for biodiversity Species diversity refers to the variety of different living things. The genetic diversity refers to the variations between individuals of the same species – characteristics passed down from parents to their offspring. Ecosystem diversity refers to the great variety of environments. All three are definitions for biodiversity

Why is biodiversity important? High amounts of biodiversity contribute to the health of an ecosystem and allow it to sustain life.

Sustainability The ability of an ecosystem to maintain an ecological balance. More biodiversity means more organisms can rely on each other. This makes for a healthier ecosystem.
