The function of CPU Controls the operation of the computer. It interpret and carries out the basic instructions that operate a computer.

The function of expansion slots The socket where the circuit boards or adapter cards can be inserted into the motherboard. It is a place to fit an expansion card containing the circuitry that provides some specialized capability, such as video card.
