JBSC Non-NegotiableS To ensure consistency and continuity across the college, we have some non-negotiables. These are all underpinned by our school priorities. JBSC School Priorities are: High Expectations and Authentic Relationships. Inquiry Focused Teaching. Consistent Learning Protocols. Consistent Teaching Protocols.

JBSC Non-Negotiables - Uniform Students will wear the uniform in the way it was intended. Sport uniform, including jacket, to only be worn during Phys. Ed., Dance or Drama classes. Sports shorts to be worn for sport (not leggings or other shorts) Shoes to be completely black during normal classes. Hoodies are not to be worn under regular uniform. Boys have shirts tucked in. Girls wear their skirts at the length they were purchased. If students are in not in correct uniform are unable to changed, they will remain in their Community space for breaks.

JBSC Non-Negotiables – Positive Behaviour Positive praise for effort to be consistently given. Positive behaviour by students regularly acknowledged. If possible, common language to be used. JBSC Pillars – Opportunity, Excellence, Success and Innovations. JBSC Agreed Values – Inquiry, Respect, Aspiration and Resilience. Achiever points to be regularly awarded for positive behaviours and entered into SEQTA.

JBSC Non-Negotiables – Negative Behaviour Students are to drink only water in classrooms. No food to be eaten in classrooms. No chewing gum at school. Head phones are not to be seen unless being used for a teacher directed learning activity. Phones are not to be seen at all in class unless being used for a teacher directed learning activity. Non-educational games are not to be played on iPads during class time.
