World War I Weapons!!

Trench Warfare Soldiers dug trenches to fight in. This way their bodies would be safe from flying bullets.

Would you want to be in the middle??

Me neither! No Man’s Land

Soldiers even had to live in these trenches! What was invented to be driven in the No Man’s Land (the area between the trenches)?

Tanks! These armored cars helps soldiers advance towards other trenches. The advanced ones could carry 10 people and reach 4 mph!

Machine Guns These guns would fire bullets quickly without having to reload your gun. The gun would shoot up to 600 bullets per minute. (The same as 250 men with rifles.) They needed 4 to 6 people to operate gun!

U- Boats Any ideas what U-Boats are???

U-Boats (or submarines) These boats would fire torpedoes.

Airplanes Airplane fights in the air were called dogfights Red Baron was a famous airplane pilot for Germany.

Flamethrowers
