Presentation transcript:

Saving Lighting Energy with the BBC micro:bit What am I? Inputs and Outputs

What am I? Clues I produce light when current flows between my anode and cathode leads. I control the flow of current in a circuit. My initials are PIR. I turn a real world signal, such as light, sound or movement, into an electronic signal. I can add ‘intelligence’ to a product. Answers: Light emitting diode (LED) Resistor Passive infrared sensor Input device Programmable system or named programmable device, such as BBC micro:bit or microcontroller.

Develop your Own! Get into pairs. Develop your own ‘What am I?’ clues based on the work you have done in this unit. Team up with another pair and test your clues against each other!
